OK, so I'm not really sure how to upload them nicely so just bear with me.

I old you about the trip to Hat Yai right? One thing that was good about that trip is that the seats were so comfy and roomy, the bad thing was to little stops - that is especially bad since I had to pee when we were in the middle of the read. When we told the bussdriver (it was not onlly me mind you) he was angry and yelled at us "Why didn't you go at the last stop!"

Apparently I didn't take pictures of the geese and the ducklings, which is a pity they are adorable. You just have to believe me in that.

Anyway, a trip always has an ending and on Tuesday started the journey back to Malaysia. My dear uncle droped me off as usual at Taba/Takbai (the Thai side of the boarder).

  And this was our ride, maybe I shouldn't post his plate number but who knows thai?

Carbonara, only in Sogo!
What I mean is that I have tasted Carbonara at different places but the only carbonara that I like and that tastes good is the one in Sogo. Funny enough Sogo is competing with itself. The foodcourt Carbonara and the Sogo Café Carbonara are both to die for. This one is the Café one.

We have a zoo

Last week I went back to Thailand to spend some time with my relatives – a trip long overdue since I haven’t been there for a very long time. It just so happens that the 4^th of May was going to be our family day. This is however the first time attending such a day so you can imagine how excited I was, I was told that cousins and relatives from far away would gather on this special day only to find out that what reality offered differed a great deal.

Since it was a special weekend for Malaysians as well it was difficult to find tickets back we ended up on a route to Hat Yai – which is way out of our way since my grandmother's house is in Narathiwat approximately 3 hours from there. When we arrived it was around 9 am and it turned out that my uncle had a meeting in Hat Yai that day. So, before we headed back we had breakfast with him and then we were off to my grandmother's. I have to say that when I was younger I didn’t have a problem sleeping sitting up as you do in a van or a bus, but nowadays I don’t only find it  uncomfortable but also made my body stiff. The journey home felt like it was never ending, 3 hours may not seem much on paper but I felt like it was going on a whole day.

The exterior of my grandmother’s house has not changed since my grandfather was alive, but everything else has. Meaning to say that when you look at my grandmother’s house, the first thing you’d see is the stair leading towards the main entrance, and it sure hasn’t changed at all.

Another thing you’d notice is that there is a huge black net acting as a door or a gate, when you lift that net to get in you’d see what was hiding behind it. Namely, all the animals that live there. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, to the left of my grandmothers house there is another big house, that house was supposed to be my uncle’s, but he passed away even before it was finished so it’s empty, except for the animals that is. Yes the animals, you find all sorts of animals that can be caged. First we have the rabbits, a pair, then next to the rabbit there are small dears (I think it’s called Kancil in Malay) and then we have all the birds, I’m not sure what species directly but small mirror-loving birds, then we have more birds in another cage. And would you believe it we have ducklings and other ducks in another big cage! A huge surprise though was the two noisy geese. They know the owner which is my aunt and doesn’t really scream at her, she is the one feeding them so they behave really well around her.

'going south' to Johor (Maryam Saad Hashim)

Hello everyone....... Have you ever watched these cowboy movies where someone mentions the famous "am goin south"?...... guess you did. well just last semester's mid-sem break I did go south......I went south to Johor.
I was so exhausted from all the work and assignments, and I even had two mid-sem exams to study for. So I didn't really welcomed the Idea at the first place but my husband insisted that its good to get out of my mood and to have fresh air.

We got Tickets from the matta fair for one night in a resort called Lotus Desaru Beach Resort.

when we reached our destination, I was so exhausted and wanted to sleep in the cozy beads in our stay..... the rooms were tremendous and the beds were so cozy like a big white teddy bear hugging you.<3




However, the kids ( Aboodi and Melek) was eager to go for the water park especially that the balcony in the room overlooked the whole fancy water park which was no doubt attractively calling us..... So Bye Bye to sweet white teddy bead, and Bye Bye to sleeping for now.

 We really enjoyed the water park. The pools were connected to one another with water slides which what the kids enjoyed the most.

until they reached the main pool were we spent the rest of the time

As you can see both my children aren't good swimmers so they like to support themselves with the floating tubes.

 after about 4 hours in the water we were starving. It was about 6 p.m. so we walked to the beach which was part of the resort site to have dinner in one of the restaurant there.

The beach was so beautiful with lots of trees adding a cool shade for the people. the wind was nicely blowing so we really enjoyed dinning and later hanging around.

we couldn't stand the beauty of the strong waves that washed us over and over again...... including my hand phone which drank Johor's salty water.

the next morning we had a free open buffet breakfast which was extra ordinary filled with local and western foods and drinks. unfortunately I forgot to take some pictures for the food. i was too busy eating and serving my kids, so i really apologize.

Port Dickson Outing

Hi all! As I'm from Sarawak and still haven't explore all Peninsular Malaysia yet, I'm going to share with you what I'm doing before the mid sem holiday end.

    My church organised an outing to Port Dickson for youth especially for the students. We could not going back to our hometown ( most of the church members are from Sabah and Sarawak) during the holiday because we have to book an airline tickets so early and its take around 3 hours flight from KL.

    I felt excited as this was my first time visited Port Dickson although I'm already in my third year. (Sigh!) Early in the morning, we gathered first at church for registration and we went there together. The leader first divided each of us into a small group for transportation.

At last, after driving for around 2 hours from Seri Kembangan, we finally arrived in Port Dickson. The weather was too sunny and we had to buy hats for protection. Some of my friends went to the gazebo and they started to start a fire for BBQ.

After breakfast, we played the games. The games were fun and through playing the game, our friendship has grown and we all called each other 'sis (short form for sister)' and 'bro (short form for brother)'.

After playing the games, some were riding the banana and donut boat. The fees were too expensive and I don't know how to swim, so I decided not to play and only took the photos.

At last, after playing the games and riding the boats, we all eating our lunch.

After eating our lunch, we finally doing our own activities. Some were sitting and playing guitar with their friends, some were playing with the ball in the sea and some were simply received sun-tanning by soaking their body in the sea.

A Tour In Egypt (Maryam Saad Hashim)

hi everyone.......did I tell you about my adventure of Egypt?
 I think I didn't.
well, are you ready to go for a tour as I tell you about this great country???

to begin with, I must tell you that my experience in Egypt wasn't just a little trip. 
Well, no it wasn't. I lived there for about more than two years...and I must say it was a rather interesting two beautiful years of my life.


Are you asking why? that's funny, because I can almost hear you ask.
                                                                    It is the most interesting years of my life because not only that Egypt is a blend of both the ancient Egyptian history of the feros and the beautiful natural views of the pure blue color of the red see of Alexandria, but also the Egyptians are people with warm hearts and they are very friendly too

This is when me, my husband and my first son Aboody went to the pyramids in Giza City near Cairo (about one hour drive from the capital). this shot is from outside the gathering of the three pyramids and the great statue of 'Abu Al-Hul'.Unfortunately we arrived after 4 p.m which by then no one is aloud inside the boarders of the gathering. One horse carriage driver offered to take us to another side of the pyramids so we can take photos.

i wasn't so brave to ride that camel, rather i just asked my husband to snap me a photo with the camel and the man who invited me to try riding it.I guess that was so foolish of me, believe it or not I really regret it.
